Adderall is a drug that stimulates central nervous system. It actually acts on the chemicals of the brain and also on the nerves and play it’s part by contributing in hyperactivity and the control of impulses. Narcolepsy and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is controlled by Adderall. Adderall is an effective drug but must be used as one wants to. There is always a proper mechanism of  drug to work so as it’s precautions are. Adderall precautions are also to be observed in order to avoid health issues which may turn to be serious.

One should be cautios that he should not use Aderall if he is using MAO inhibitor. Some serious fatal health issues may result if adderall is used before MAO inhibitor.  Moreover, if one is allergic of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine, then adderall should be avoided. Moreover, adderall must be avoided in following cases:

• If one has arteries that have become hardened
• If someone is suffering with high blood pressure.
• In case of glaucoma, adderall should be avoided.
• Overactive thyroid is another condition in which adderall must be avoided.
• In case the patient is feeling severe anxiety, then again adderall should be avoided.
• Moreover, if the patient exhibits agitated behaviour then again adderall should not be given.
• Onhaving a history of drug addiction, the drug is not recommended.
• Adderall is again not recommended if the patient is habitual of drinking alcohol.

If the above mentioned lines are not followed, then the patient may suffer with serious heart issues that ultimately may lead to death.

If adderall is given to the children for a longer time span, then it hinders the child growth. Patients must be concerned and should consult the doctor on immediate basis if they find that their child is neither gaining weight nor he is growing as per requirement. Moreover, while having intake of adderall, proper record should be maintained and should be shared with the doctor as well. Furthermore, the recommendations of the doctor should be followed religiously so as to avoid any trouble in future. If this medicine is used in undue amount with doctor’s guidance, then it may result into serious health hazards.

One should give complete history to the doctor before being advised to take adderall. Nothing should be hidden from the doctor as per patient’s health concerns. In case if the patient does not know what to share with the doctor, the doctor must be skilled enough to ask the following cobnerns if the patient has. These are as follows:

• If the patient has any history of heart problems.
• If the patient has problem of high blood pressure.
• If the problem of overactive thyroid is there.
• The doctor must ask if the patient has glaucoma
• Sever anxiety is another problem about which the history should be taken.
• If the patient is addicted to any drug.
• If the patient has addiction of alcohol.
• The doctor must ask if the patient feels agitated.
• If the patient feels tensed ever.
• Also, proper history should be taken if the patient suffers with congenital heart diseases.
• If there is any issue of heart beat.
• In case if the patient ever had a heart attack, it must be shared with the doctor.
• If patients’ muscles get twitched, then it should also be told to the doctor while he takes history of the patient.
• The doctor must also ask about the condition of epilepsy if it exists.
• Any kind of psychotic disorder should be shared with which the patient suffers.

These all above mentioned conditions should be shared with the doctor before he prescribes Adderall to you. Or else the use of Adderall in such conditions without doctor’s guidance would definitely lead to fatal issues.

Moreover, adderall may cause sleepy effect. That’s why it must not be taken in evenings.  It should only be swallowed as chewing it will lead to the release of more quantity of drug at one time. The patient must see his doctor on regular basis so as to tell him the progress while taking this drug. A patient must be conscious and cautious both while having the intake sessions of this drug that we call Adderall. No such task should be done after having the dose of Adderall that requires attention. Because, Adderall impairs thinking patterns, behaviours and reaction and also creates a sleepy effect. So, it should be avoided before doing any attention and focus requiring task.

To conclude, it can be rightly said that Adderall must be used with all Adderall precautions; other wise it would definitely prove itself to be risky. Moreover, for seeking guidance in this regard, one must consult the doctor and should have full confidence and trust in him. This trust can only be exhibited if the directions given by the doctor will be followed religiously. One must stay in touch with his doctor continuously while being on Adderall.
